A Prefeitura Municipal de Pontal do Araguaia em parceria com a Secretaria Municipal de Saúde desenvolve uma campanha de conscientização quanto ao uso do narguilé, visto que este traz efeitos nocivos à saúde, sendo muito pior que o próprio cigarro já que pode também causar câncer, doenças respiratórias, doença de boca, tuberculose e hepatites virais.
